As part of a long-term green vision, Dan Hotels implements various initiatives to manage environmental aspects and integrate them into our daily operations. We also lead network-wide initiatives to minimize environmental impacts at every hotel. These include, for example:

Most Dan Hotels were built with insulated windows, which increase the efficiency of the hotel's air conditioning system. This allows us to reduce greenhouse gas emissions by minimizing the electricity required for cooling and heating guest rooms and public areas in each hotel.
The majority of Dan Hotels utilize LED lighting for energy efficiency and to balance and regulate heat emissions.
Dan Hotels uses green electricity produced from renewable energy sources.
In recent years, Dan Hotels has invested millions of shekels in acquiring Heat Recovery Systems for several of our hotels, including Dan Caesarea, King David Hotel, Dan Jerusalem, Dan Panorama Jerusalem, Dan Carmel, Dan Accadia, Dan Panorama Eilat, and Dan Eilat. We plan to continue adding similar systems in the near future at additional hotels. Heat Recovery Systems allow us to reuse energy emitted from cooling systems to heat swimming pools and domestic water, as well as for other uses. Essentially, these systems enable us to "recycle" energy consumption in our hotels, thereby reducing emissions as part of our commitment to being as environmentally friendly as possible. Additionally, energy-efficient heat pumps have been installed in our hotels to reduce water consumption.
Dan Hotels has invested millions of shekels in recent years in installing water-saving systems through unique elements integrated into various systems, both in guest rooms and kitchens.
Furthermore, in recent years, we have initiated a process of replacing cooling towers to reduce water consumption and improve heat exchange in each tower.
Dan Hotels is actively working to identify and prepare for the impacts of climate change. This includes dedicated projects for shading, reducing radiation in general, and through the use of windows with shading coefficients, among other initiatives.
All Dan Hotels have agreements with local operators who collect used oils, plastic bottles, and glass for recycling and reuse. In addition, paper and electronic equipment are recycled and sent for shredding.
Dan Hotels continuously works to refine sustainability values at the core of its hospitality operations. This involves ongoing and significant processes to uphold these values. For instance, our hotels are implementing measures to reduce the use of polluting plastics – in guest rooms, dining areas, public spaces, and within the work environment by our staff.
Additionally, the chain promotes environmentally friendly suppliers by emphasizing the importance of this issue in the network's decision-making process, including scoring within green procurement.
Dan Hotels promotes a program to encourage guests to participate in our environmental efforts, in a way that aligns with and even enhances the level of hospitality and personal service that has always characterized the Dan Hotels chain.
