CAESAREA  - A GREAT DESTINATION
Caesarea has a magical quality that makes it one of the most desirable locales on Israel's coastline. It has something to do with the special quality of light and the cooling breezes that waft in from the sea even at the height of summer. The Romans certainly recognized and valued Caesarea's charms, so did the Crusaders and the Turks that followed them. Visible reminders of Caesarea's Roman and Crusader past are scattered around the area. A visit to the ongoing excavations of the original Roman city is a must.

The secluded harbor is another memorable site and swimming among the submerged pillars of antiquity makes for a unique experience. Stroll around the undulating countryside and enjoy pleasant surprises - full-scale excavations, a superb hippodrome, columns and statues, an aqueduct on the beach. The grand Roman amphitheater on the edge of the Mediterranean is a romantic setting for under-the-stars concerts and performances throughout the summer.

Ideally situated for vacationing and touring, Caesarea is half way between Tel Aviv and Haifa - under an hour either way. The locale is also a highly convenient take off point for the Galilee with a wealth of biblical sites no more than ninety minutes away. Close to Caesarea, less than fifteen minutes away, is a cluster of scenic destinations including historic Zichron Ya'akov and Binyamina, graced by fine olive groves and prime vineyards. Ideal for short excursions.

Feel like a King at Caesar Spa...
In a magical estate in Caesarea:  Surrounded by a flowering garden and bordering on a eucalyptus wood, far from the noise of the city and smoke of the cars and within walking distance of the beach, a sanctuary of pampering and relaxation for the body and soul.

This sanctuary - Caesarea Spa - is an intimate, professional and pampering watering place, as enjoyed by the Roman emperors who so loved the pleasures of life.

The Caesarea Golf Club

About two years ago, the Edmund Binyamin de Rothschild Company for the Development of Caesarea, decided to rebuild the club.  Pete Dye, the well-known golf course architect, was chosen to plan and design the new course.

The Club is open 7 days a week from 7:00 a.m. until the evening.  It is necessary to book in advance on tel. 04-6109618.
