2003 Moshe Barnea Award for Mr. Ami Hirschstein
February 2004: Dan Hotels Israel announced today that Ami Hirschstein, President and CEO of Dan Hotels Corporation has been awarded the "2003 Moshe Barnea Award" for Hotel and Leadership excellence.
The "Moshe Barnea Award" under the auspices of the Israel Hotel Managers Association is the highest Award in Hotel Management and was presented to Mr. Hirschstein in recognition of his outstanding achievements in Israeli tourism and for 15 years of successful leadership of the Israel Hotel Industry.
Mr. Hirschstein joined the Dan Hotels Corporation as President in 1989 and has led the chain through its growth and the implementation of its modern approach to hospitality. Under his guidance the motto of Dan Hotels Israel was established as: "Providing our guests with an experience exceeding their expectations".
During the ceremony Mr. Adi Maor Chairman of the Association commented that the committee selected Mr. Hirschstein as the recipient of this prestigious award "in recognition of his contribution to developing tourism to Israel, laying the foundation of new and innovative customer relationship concepts, leadership qualities and introducing new technologies into the Israel Hotel industry."
Mr. Hirschstein also serves as the Chairman of the Israel Hotel Association and Marketing Committee, and is Chairman of the Old Jaffa Development Corporation.
