King David voted one of the worl'ds best hotels
A questionnaire developed by the editors of Travel + Leisure, in association with Harris interactive, has declared the Dan Hotels flagship, the King David, Jerusalem – the only Israeli hotel to be included – to be one of the world’s best hotels.
Travel + Leisure Magazine is one of the most prestigious and authoritative travel magazines and subscribers to the website were invited to participate in a survey by providing scores on five characteristics of hotels around the world. The categories were as follows: rooms/facilities, location, service, restaurants/food, value. The King David scored a total of 81.76 placing it firmly within the top 500.
The rooms most voted for were the Deluxe Old City rooms and the survey showed that the hotel’s competitive edge was: “The grande dame of Jerusalem hotels and still the city's finest.” The hotel is situated in the heart of Jerusalem, overlooking the Old City and with 237 guest rooms and luxury suites, restaurants, bars, banqueting facilities for up to 400 persons, beautiful gardens and an outdoor swimming pool, offers guests an exceptional luxury experience.
President of the Dan Hotels Corporation, Mr. Ami Hirschstein commented: “This isn’t the first time we have received such an award but of course we are always delighted to know that our guests continue to be satisfied. The King David is a national treasure – we are very proud of the luxury accommodation, unique service and surroundings it offers.”
